WHAT IF THE WORLD WE LIVE IN COULD BE EQUAL FOR US ALL?
Sometimes I just ask myself what if the world we live in could be equal for us all in such a way that there are no very wealthy people and no less fortunate people at the same time.
But again that is not possible because even the earth itself is not uniform geographically. The sun rises in the east and sets in the west meaning the places in the east receive sunlight earlier than places in the west. But if the earth was flat all places would receive sunlight at the same time.
Even Biblically it is evident of the disparities between people. Relating to the story of the Rich man and Lazarus. The rich man had everything he could ever wish for and next to him was Lazarus who was poor, full of sores in his body and even ate the rich man’s leftovers.
Coming back to the world we live in it is also the same. There are high class people and low class people.
Some drive fancy cars, live in luxurious homes, wear expensive clothes, go for vacations every now and then, buy anything they want any time without minding the cost because to them that is not a problem. Some still earn money at the comfort of their seats back at home.
On the other side but still in the same world some struggle to place a single meal on the table for themselves and their families. Some lack a roof above their heads. some lack the money to take their children to school. Due to the circumstances around them they are forced to do even those hard jobs for many hours but at the end of the day they get a less pay .
But guess what? even if we cannot change that disparity we can still do something. We can learn to share what we have amongst ourselves.
If you are a wealthy person that is good but am sure you don’t need all that in this short life we live on earth. All you need is that which will keep you moving and the rest maybe you can decide to visit the devastating places and try doing something beneficial to help others get out from that poor life they are living.
I wish that as time goes by there will be many DORCAS out there.
People who will wholeheartedly dedicate the excess they have to the less fortunate and avoid squandering. IT IS POSSIBLE. IT ONLY NEEDS TO COME FROM THE HEART. And at the end even our creator shall be happy and pleased by our actions.
